Excellent, new, region O DVD, award-winning documentary on RAW: MaybeLogic
Sex and Drugs: A Journey Beyond Limits (1973/1988) An outstanding piece of post-modern anthropology in which R.A. Wilson examines the ways in which sex, drugs, and various combinations of the two can alter consciousness.
Ishtar Rising: The Goddess Obsession or, Why the Goddess Went to Hell and What to Expect Now that She's Returning, (1989) An amazing book exploring feminine archetypes, their suppression and gradual re-emergence. First published as The Book of the Breast (1973) - this is (or seems to me to be) a vital and intelligent book.
Illuminatus! (1976) Classic, cult, shaggy-dog-conspiracy-theory trilogy, written with Robert Shea. The Eye in the Pyramid, The Golden Apple, Leviathan.
Cosmic Trigger 1 - Final Secret of the Illuminati (1977) First volume of autobiography: Aleister Crowley, communication with Sirius, coincidences, tragedy, comedy, wisdom and bizarreness. An inspiration. Essential.
Neuropolitique: The Sociobiology of Human Metamorphosis (1977) with Timothy Leary and George A. Koopman. Exactly what it says on the cover: Leary's 'Eight Circuit' model of consciousness, how to transform yourself by using these insights; the socio-politics of personal transformation.
Schrödinger's Cat (1979) An excellent trilogy (The Universe Next Door, The Trick Top Hat, The Homing Pigeons). Thieves, sex goddesses, mad sexologists, parallel universes, eco-terrorists, and a randy dwarf. One of Uncle Bob's finest.
The Illuminati Papers (1980) Articles, interviews, pranks and fun featuring some of the cast of Illuminatus! Includes: The Abolition of Stupidity, Quantum Mechanics as a Branch of Primate Psychology, Ten Good Reasons to Get Out of Bed in the Morning, The Eight Basic Winner Scripts, and much else besides. Excellent mental nourishment.
Masks of the Illuminati (1981) A rollickingly good read featuring James Joyce, Albert Einstein, Aleister Crowley and Sir John Babcock. A prequel to Illuminatus! May still be available via Amazon.
Right Where You Are Sitting Now: Further tales of the Illuminati (1982) Short articles, interviews and skits, including The Jumping Jesus Phenomenon, The Semantics of "God", Ecology, Malthus and Machiavelli, Sirius Rising, Is God a Dope or Just Plain Clumsy?Great fun.
The Historical Illuminatus Chronicles: (1984-1991), Volume I: The Earth Will Shake (1984) Volume II: The Widow's Son (1985) Volume III: Nature's God (1991) These three prequels to Masks of the Illuminati and Illuminatus! trace the lives of Sigismundo Celine, Sir John and Lady Maria Babcock, and the emergence of powerful secret societies in the late 18th Century. A great historical fantasy series, of which The Widow's Son, with its counter-melody of footnotes and surprise appearance of Irish polymath De Selby, is surely the highlight. The trilogy is currently out of print, but New Falcon publications are producing new editions. Volume One is due out in June 2004. You can pre-order it from Amazon: The Earth Will Shake The other two volumes will follow later this year. Watch this space.
Prometheus Rising (1983) Abandon your own robothood and become who you want to be with this useful guide to Timothy Leary's 8 circuit model of consciousness. Includes many other psychological insights to help you deprogram and reprogram yourself for health, happiness and fun. Introduction by Israel Regardie.
Wilhelm Reich in Hell (1987) Moving play about the tragic-heroic pioneer of bio-energy research and the reasons for his demise.
The New Inquisition: Irrational Rationalism and the Citadel of Science (1987) This is one of the essential books in anyone's library. Explores the ways in which some scientists tend to present their work as a monolithic structure impervious to criticism or revision, and how and why those scientists tend to persecute their critics as heretics. Cogent, witty, breath-takingly sensible and truly mind-expanding.
Nature's God or Don't Put a Rubber on Your Willy (1987) Bob makes a case which demolishes the popular idea that there are 'natural laws' of the kind that some people wish to impose on others: such hypothetical 'laws' would rather seem to be merely attempted rationalizations of personal prejudices dressed up as universal 'laws'. Serious, funny and intelligent. You can't get this online from Amazon, but you should be able to get it from the publisher, Loompanics Loompanics.com
Coincidance: a Head Test (1988) Perpare to be dazzled by this stunning collection of writings. Quantum physics inspires the exploration of Synchronicity and Isomorphism in Finnegans Wake (acutally highly readable even if you haven't made it through Joyce's masterpiece), and much more. The reader emerges from each of Wilson's books with his perception profoundly realigned.
Quantum Psychology (1990) Another essential manual for creatively realigning your perception. Serious and sublime.
Cosmic Trigger II: Down to Earth (1991) Much more than a bit more autobiography. Explores Wilson's early life and his sojourn in Ireland with the expected detours, wit, philosophy and wisdom.
Reality Is What You Can Get Away With(1992) Very funny illustrated screenplay: aliens, lasagne, atom bombs - top notch satire and guerilla ontology.
Chaos and Beyond: The Best of Trajectories (1994) Compendium of articles and features from the first ten issues of Bob's Trajectories newsletter. Mostly by Robert Anton Wilson himself, but also featuring Arlen Wilson, D. Scott Apel, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Timothy Leary, Linus Pauling, Robert Newport, Edward Kellogg III, Peter Russell, Ed McMahon and George Carlin.
Cosmic Trigger III: My Life After Death (1995) "According to reliable sources, I died on February 22, 1994 - George Washington's birthday . . " Bob explores what it's like to survive your own obituary notices in this third volume of autobiography./P>
The Walls Came Tumbling Down (1997) Screenplay dealing with characters who stumble into new modes of perception after weird encounters and triggers. Why haven't they made this one into a film yet?

Everything Is Under Control: Conspiracies, Cults & Cover-ups (1999) Co-written with M.J. Hill, this is a dictionary of conspiracy theories and a great insight into Robert Anton Wilson's thinking. Useful, essential, scary and fun.
Robert Anton Wilson Explains Everything - Or Old Bob Exposes His Ignorance [AUDIOBOOK] (2001) Audio cassettes. An excellent set of taped lectures and conversations in which Bob summarizes his work and philosophy. Brilliant!
TSOG: The Thing that Ate the Constitution (2002) What is happening in the USA - right now! - to human freedom and to the Constitution that was written to secure and protect your liberty? Why does the US have a drug TSAR who proudly destroys millions of lives and bullies the governments of the rest of the world into porsecuting an insane war on [some] drugs? How did a NAZI spy come to have an enormous influence on current US foreign policy? Will 'The War Against Terrorism' (TWAT) put the last nail in the coffin of your rights? Would Hannibal Lecter make a better president than George W. Bush? Bob's keen wit skewers those who are forcing us all into slavery, and warns us that there is little time left. How long will it be before Bob's books are banned as 'literary terrorism'?
TSOG: The Audio CD (2002) This contains excellent interviews conducted and edited by Lance Bauscher (who also wrote and directed the RAW documentary "Maybe Logic" - see below). It's an excellent statement of Bob's philosophy in its own right, and acts as a supplement to the TSOG book. Definitely a must-have.
Tale of the Tribe Latest news from the publisher is that this non-fiction book won't be out until 2005. In the meantime, there will be a book of Bob's essays this year. Watch this space.
