Enlightenment - Gnosis, Divine Union, Cosmic Consciousness, Ecstasy or whatever you wish to call it - is the birthright of every sentient being in the Universe. When we are born, we are in a state of Oceanic Bliss, Cosmic Oneness. We do not differentiate between ourselves and the rest of the Universe. In becoming individuals, we lose this Oneness and our connection with Ultimate Reality and Truth, and we spend the rest of our lives looking for it. This state can be achieved by everyone. Some people are lucky, and naturally enter this state - others work hard through meditation and other practises to achieve it.

Now there is another way. Sri Bhagwan Kalki (pictured, left) and Sri Amma are considered by their follows to be avatars - Enlightened (Divine) Beings - who are here to help people achieve Enlightenment. To this end they offer special training called Mukthi Deeksha (Enlightenment Initiation) at their ashram. This is a beautiful healing ceremony which plants the seed of Enlightenment in the minds and hearts of those who experience it.

At the time of writing, only two people in the UK have received this training: the musician Max Brennan and his beloved friend Deva. Max, who is known to many for his vibrant music (see Max Brennan) was many years ago initiated into TM (Transcendental Meditation) by Clive Daly. Clive was one of the original 'governors' of TM, and was initiated by the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (pictured, right) himself. The Maharishi's own initiation goes back many hundreds of years through a variety of avatars, ultimately to Lord Krishna himself (an avatar of Vishnu), who gave TM to all creation, as recorded in the Bhagavad Gita. TM, which the Maharishi revived in 1957, will ultimately bring you to Cosmic Consciousness, but the Deeksha phenomenon brought to us by Sri Kalki Bhagvan is a faster process.

In this time of rapid change, there is a need to initiate as many as possible so that by 2012 there will be a critical mass of Enlightened beings on this planet. By the time of the second Transit of Venus, there will have been reached the point of no return; the tipping point: sufficient Enlightened beings on this planet that the whole of humanity is affected and transformed. Can you feel the changes that are already taking place in the World? Is yours a World of Darkness, or one of Pure Joy? Every Dark Night of the Soul is followed by a glorious Golden Dawn. Our world is currently undergoing one such Dark Night, perhaps the worst in history. But the Golden Dawn is in sight - the first rays of the new Dawn were seen with the first Transit of Venus in June 2004, and will be completed in 2012. This is truly the luckiest time to be alive.

Sri Kalki Bhagvan has made it his mission to initiate, or cause to be initiated through his followers, 64,000 people. Enlightenment is not an automatic result of the Deeksha process, but Deeksha will certainly help you achieve it, and many are lucky enough to attain this state permanently with this treatment first time. Maybe it is your turn next?

Max Brennan (pictured left, on Venus Transit Day, 8th June, 2004) has been taught how to give Deeksha to others, and since his return from India, has helped many people. Max underwent a 3 day Samskarashuddhi process, a 5 day Mukthi Deeksha Intensive, a 21 day Deeksha Intensive Programme, and also was blessed to receive an extra week-long intensive process. This procedure included many Darshans (personal time spent with Sri Kalki Bhagvan) for experiencing higher states of Oneness and Enlightenment. Max has a strong personal connection with Sri Kalki Bhagvan and Sri Amma. He is able to give to anyone Deeksha Evenings (Satsangs), and healings, and is currently organizing courses and retreats on the Isle of Wight where he lives. But he will travel anywhere where his services are needed.

I myself have experienced Deeksha at the hands of both Max and Deva. Whatever your beliefs (or lack of them) it is a wonderful and blessed experience - a type of 'laying-on of hands' - that will leave you permanently transformed - relaxed, and in contact with T'ai Chi (the Supreme Ultimate).
